Pre-Nursery (Date of Birth as per NEP norms and Non- NEP Norms)
The child should be 3+ years of age as of 01 April ( as per NEP) of the year seeking
admission or 31 December ( as per Non - NEP *Conditions Apply) of the year
seeking admission.
- Pre-Nursery / Balavatika - 1 (Date of Birth as per NEP norms and Non- NEP
Norms)
- The child should be 3+ years of age as of 01 April ( as per NEP) of the year
seeking admission or 31 December ( as per Non - NEP *Conditions Apply) of
the year seeking admission.
Nursery / LKG / PP-I / Balavatika - 2 (Date of Birth as per NEP norms)
The child should be 4+ years of age as of 01 April ( as per NEP) of the year seeking admission or 31 December ( as per Non - NEP *Conditions Apply) of the year seeking admission.
Prep / UKG / PP-II / Balavatika - 3 (Date of Birth as per NEP norms)
The child should be 5+ years of age as of 01 April ( as per NEP) of the year seeking admission or 31 December ( as per Non - NEP *Conditions Apply) of the year seeking admission.
Grade I (Date of Birth as per NEP norms and Non- NEP Norms)
The child should be 6+ years of age as of 01 April ( as per NEP) of the year seeking admission or 31 December ( as per Non - NEP *Conditions Apply) of the year seeking admission.

The rollout of the National Education Policy (NEP) by the central government has ignited nationwide conversations regarding the age criteria for school enrollments. However, it is crucial to recognize that the NEP is a framework of suggestions rather than binding regulations, granting individual states the authority to decide on its implementation. As of now, Telangana has yet to officially enforce the NEP as law.
While the NEP recommends that children begin schooling at the age of 3 and above, education falls under the Concurrent List of the Indian Constitution. Therefore, being in Telangana, DPS Kollur has to adhere to state guidelines as well as CBSE regulations.

Documents need to be submitted along with the application form
1. Passport-size photographs of the student, parents, and guardian.
2. Candidate’s Date of Birth certificate issued by the competent authority
3. Candidate’s Aadhar card for all types of categories of students (For UDISE+)
4. Copy of residential proof
5. Bonafide certificate / Study certificate and Transfer certificate
6. Report card of previous class.
7. Passport and Indian VISA / OCI for Non – Indian residents
8. Hospital Vaccination record of early years
9. Govt notified caste certificate (for CBSE Records)
10. PEN (Govt of India – UDISE+) Number from the previous school.
Admission Process :
- Visit the school and submit the completed new Admission application form along with the above documents.
- The counsellor will examine the student (Grade 5 or below) and confirm the admission.
- Written test for Grades 6 and above and on qualitative performance; admission will be confirmed.
- Payment of a minimum of 1st installment of Tuition fees will confirm the admission.
- Register for Transport service (optional) and confirm the service by payment of requisite fees.

- Please note that the TC / Study certificate / similar document for UKG from now on is to be submitted as per UDISE+. PEN SHOULD BE MENTIONED.
- Note: The age norms mentioned above are followed by the school.
However, if there is an order to follow the age criteria in accordance with the NEP norms, the school will have to abide by it and the candidate will be
placed in the class according to the NEP norms
